The composer and architect Iannis Xenakis would have turned one hundred on May 29, 2022. Throughout his life, it was above all the performances of his highly complex orchestral works such as Metastasis that caused a sensation. The great importance of the Messiaen pupil for the music of the twentieth century is undisputed, as is his influence on subsequent generations. As a long-time assistant to the architect Le Corbusier, he also supervised important building projects worldwide.

Greek pianist Pavlos Antoniadis is a close collaborator of the Paris Ircam and the Xenakis Foundation and an absolute expert on the music of his eminent compatriot. The first part will feature world premieres by François-Bernard Mâche and by Andreas F. Staffel.

Un croquis n'a en général ni la complexité des lignes ni la subtilité des couleurs. Dr. Pavlos Antoniadis ist Pianist, Musikwissenschaftler und Musikwissenschaftler in Straßburg. Er hat an Aufnahmen für Mode (2015 Deutscher Schallplattenkritikpreis) und Wergo records mitgewirkt. Als Solist hat er mit den Komponisten Mark Andre, Helmut Lachenmann, Brian Ferneyhough, Wolfgang Rihm, Tristan Murail, Richard Barrett und Walter Zimmermann zusammengearbeitet und Soloklavierwerke von James Erber, Nicolas Tzortzis, Andrew R. Noble, Luis Antunes Pena, Dominik Karski und anderen uraufgeführt. Sein Programm umfasst komplexe zeitgenössische Werke, oft mit elektronischen und theatralischen Elementen, und oft in eklektischem Dialog mit älterem Repertoire von Cabezón bis Bartók.
