Laurence Egloff's abstract painting is based on representational templates, whereby the objectivity of these templates becomes clear in their further processing as an abstraction performance. In often several work steps, Egloff solves the energies bound in the templates from their perspective, illusionistic constructions and converts them into rapid brush movements. The original painting of an impression emerges, fragmented and complex.
If one combines their approach with the musical context in which a small selection of their works is presented for the coming months, the image of a notation passing through the world of the images arises, which is interpreted for the time being.
Since 1998 Jörg Hasheider (exhibition curator) has realized, besides his exhibition activities as a visual artist in the fields of installation, video, multi-media and collage, numerous curatorial projects. The partners of his work were the Federal Cultural Foundation and the ministries of culture of the states of Brandenburg, Hesse and Thuringia.
